Welcome to Trinity St Mary's Pre-school
Trinity St Mary's Pre-school welcomes children into a happy and homely environment, where you can feel confident that your child feels secure, happy and valued. Our dedicated team of staff, will nurture and inspire your child during their early years. Our ethos is to help children develop positive attitudes to learning focused on their individual learning needs, enhancing their social, practical and academic skills, which are the building blocks for their future development. The stimulating environment and resources are used as a tool to enhance your child’s development through the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum, where your child will learn through play-based themes which are both adult and child initiated.
Our pre-school is situated in a purpose-built classroom with a dedicated outdoor learning space, in the heart of Trinity St Mary’s Primary School. Our children have plenty of opportunities to visit and work in the rest of the school, including the school hall, playground, field and our church. This provides an excellent starting place for the transition into Reception class.
We pride ourselves on building excellent relationships with all our families and look forward to welcoming you to our pre-school.

Our Pre-school Superstars of 2022
All our children have settled in Pre-School exceptionally well and we are super proud of them. We have really enjoyed the past few weeks getting to know them and having lots of fun. We hope you enjoy looking at the photos of some of the activities we have been carrying out. If you click on the link at the bottom of the page you can see what the children will be learning this half term. If you have any questions please contact the school and we will get back to you.
Autumn Term
This half term we have been busy learning about fireworks and the festival Diwali. The children have been making 3d fireworks, creating rockets out of different shapes and creating Diya lamps. We made some yummy firework sweet treats out of marshmallows, chocolate and sprinkles for snack, the children loved them. We have been also learning about Autumn, hibernation, trees and wildlife. We have made hedgehogs out of pumpkins and twigs, the children used hammers to bang the twigs in for spines. The children created leaf prints with paint and crayons and made bird feeders for our garden and to take home. We have created a display of the characters from Percy the park keeper. Our favourite Percy book was ‘The Hedgehog’s Balloon’s.’
