We have been really pleased by the number of children who have participated in the TSM Readers' Scheme. The expectation is that every child reads at home at least 4 times a week and that every day a child reads at home an adult signs the Reading Record book to confirm that their child has read at home that day. The Reading Record book is checked each Monday by either the teacher or the TA and a ‘TSM Reader’ sticker is given if the child has read at least 4 times a week. When a child has been given six ‘TSM Reader’ stickers they will receive a Headteacher certificate awarded in assembly, their name will appear in the newsletter and they will be given a small reward. This will then continue on a rolling programme. We do ask that an adult signs their child’s Reading record Book in order for them to be given a ‘TSM Reader’ sticker.
Today was the first of many presentations made to children who received a bookmark from Mrs Gooday in assembly. Well done!
